The discussion with Mr Steve Hertel, Project Officer of Independence House, was centred around the need for the evacuation plan of the establishment to be revised and tested as it is within DRMD mandate to review and monitor plans of each governmental and private sector organisations and this carried out by the Planning and Preparedness Unit, according to Disaster Risk Management Act 2014, Part II 4(1)(h).

Mr. Hertel informed the Planning and Preparedness Unit representatives, Mr. Henry Moustache and Mr. Pedro Edmond the liaison police officer of DRMD, the current state of the present evacuation plan and the current progress to review the plan.

Following the discussion, it was agreed upon to host another meeting to discuss the evacuation plan in greater detail.
